
John Maxwell in his book 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership noted that The True measure of Leadership is Influence, he said real leadership cannot be awarded: it must be earned through influence. Influence on its own means the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something.
From the sales and marketing teams, to line managers and supervisors: managers are people within the organisation that works to translate corporate projections to reality. They control the foot soldiers who they need to influence in a productive way. It is therefore important and necessary to build their skill of Influence for a guaranteed improvement in productivity and corporate results.
