Verified Purchase. I am giving this book two stars for the following reasons. First of all, for the amount I paid for it, seventy-one dollars, I expected the contents of the books to be in color and not black and white. Furthermore, some of the screenshots are decent and readable, while others are so pixelated and low resolution that I am left to wonder if they were put in by a grade school student with zero knowledge of screenshot to print transfer.
Fortunately, the typography is sound, although the lettering is thin and small font size wise. All of this is clearly time saving measures on the part of the author and cost-saving measures on the part of SDC, since the ebook version of this, which I also purchased, is in full color and most of the screenshots are more readable as a result.
Furthermore, with regard to contents, there is very little change year over year from prior editions of the book, going back many years. There are numerous mistakes like submarine, dinosaur, and “foot bone” models being mentioned in the text only to have ducks and chickens shown in the figures.
